Dr. Chilton is an accomplished and retiring neurosurgeon who serves as the Director of the Midwest Gamma Knife Center, which was the first dedicated cranial radiosurgery facility in the Midwest (over 2500 patients treated to date).
Dr Chilton earned his Master’s Degree in Public Health from Columbia University in New York City and subsequently earned his medical degree at The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. in 1988.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgery.
He has been honored as a Top Neurological Surgeon by multiple organizations including US News and World Report and The Consumer’s Research Council.
He is the Director of The Center for Facial Pain at the Midwest Neuroscience Institute, which offers comprehensive care for the diagnosis and treatment of all types of facial pain, including Trigeminal Neuralgia. Other areas of subspecialty interest include brain tumors and complex spine surgery.
He is currently the senior partner at Midwest Neurosurgery Associates, a well-respected eight-member neurosurgery group serving greater metropolitan Kansas City and rural communities in Kansas and Missouri.
